Shiraz Bar & Restaurant

I recently had the opportunity to visit Shiraz Bar and Restaurant in Gatwick, London, and I wanted to share my thoughts about the experience. Overall, I found the place to be decent, with some highs and lows. Let's start with the positives. The prices at Shiraz Bar and Restaurant were quite reasonable, which was definitely a pleasant surprise. I particularly enjoyed their lamb Shiah dish; it was flavorful and cooked to perfection. However, I must admit that the rest of the menu fell a bit short of my expectations, resulting in an average culinary experience. Where the restaurant truly excelled was in providing a delightful atmosphere and exceptional service. The staff members were attentive, friendly, and efficient, ensuring that I felt welcomed throughout my visit. Their promptness in taking orders and their warm and accommodating demeanor added a positive touch to the overall dining experience. While the food might not have been outstanding, I would still recommend Shiraz Bar and Restaurant to those who value a pleasant ambiance and excellent customer service. With a bit more focus on the culinary aspect, this place has the potential to become a real gem. In conclusion, if you find yourself in Gatwick and in need of a restaurant with a friendly and efficient staff, Shiraz Bar and Restaurant is worth considering. Just be aware that the food might not leave a lasting impression.

My girlfriend & I went for a meal this evening and I must say it was fantastic. We love our turkish food and this has to be up there with some of the best we’ve had. The hummus kavurma to start is a MUST, they give you an abundance of lamb which makes the dish so tasty. For mains we had a mixed grill and everything on our plate was delicious. The adana kebab is the highlight for me. The service is top notch. Everyone was so polite, helpful and genuinely kind. This is Horley’s culinary gem.

Really delicious food. Excellent cocktails. Staff were friendly and attentive, they even went to the effort of letting us pick a different table that was more accessible for me with my walking aid (despite having prepared a table for our booking). Atmosphere and decor were really nice. A great local restaurant. Will definitely be back!
